Happiness lies within ourselves in this moment, some people look to the future and others live in the past to find happiness, it seems as the world is moving at a faster pace
via the information age we are in, the need to balance the stress, and have coping skills become very real option.
Imagine calmness, being centered, and wide open with a vulnerable knowing self, alert and aware in this awesome moment of time. Such freedom is known, to approach life from this way is to be in your power.
It takes great courage and discipline to train ones mind to be able to undo the habits of a dull mind, as if we have fell into a semi sleep mode. The many ups and down on ones journey in this life can serve us well, that is if we have a awareness of self and others, to bring a aliveness to each and every moment in time, a new fresh way of viewing the possibles each and every given moment. The temptation to dwindle along ones way, making small friendships, and meals, and journeys for years on end…and then to sulk along the rest of your days on the edge of rage.
The world is wilder and more dangerous more bitter, extravagant and bright. So the need to find ones own inner power is a very real fact of survival. Years ago right after the 911 2001event in my beloved city of NYC. I had a profound understanding that i could be broke and unhappy at the end of the day, or the had a choice of where my attention my thoughts would be focused on, i choose that i was broke and i would be happy. This was a great wake up call for me, as i saw clearly that the action and my emotions could be separated and if i stayed with great awareness i became to know great peace and my happiness was more apparent to myself and others. As i have found out that a happy person can give the greatest gift to others, a simple smile that connects each of us and heals us all. Dedicated to, Peter H. By: Victoria Van Ayerst
